Become a Nonprofit Partner

Pittsburgh Cares partners with more nearly 600 nonprofit organizations in Allegheny County and beyond to offer volunteers hundreds of worthwhile and gratifying service opportunities throughout the year. To become a Pittsburgh Cares partner, all nonprofits must:

  • Not utilize volunteers in efforts to proselytize or for political campaigns
  • Have verifiable 501(c)3 nonprofit status or be a not-for-profit/public school or government organization
  • Prohibit discrimination in hiring practices or in determining recipients of services based on an individual's race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, national origin, or mental or physical disability or any other status prohibited by applicable law

Nonprofit Partnership Levels
Effective April 1, 2012, we offer nonprofits two levels of partnership: Basic Community (free) or Priority Partnership.

For a small annual fee, Priority Partners receive many benefits, including priority referral for corporate and community volunteer teams, the ability to post ongoing and one-time opportunities on our calendar and unlimited access to our Salesforce nonprofit portal.
