Pittsburgh Cares develops projects that fit the needs of practically any schedule. Projects take place during the day, outside of traditional work hours, in the evenings, and on the weekends. With a broad menu of activities, convenient scheduling, and flexible commitment levels, Pittsburgh Cares makes it easy for almost anyone to become involved in volunteering in the Greater Pittsburgh region.

Further, Pittsburgh Cares partners with over 150 nonprofit organizations throughout the region to provide volunteers a diverse array of opportunities. All of our service projects fall within one of the following impact areas: adult education and literacy, animal support, children and youth, community events, disaster relief, environmental protection and preservation, health and wellness, homelessness and hunger, renovation-revitalization-repair, and senior care.
