Hands

Our mission is to inspire, equip, and mobilize individual citizens, nonprofits, corporations, and schools to take action to create positive change in our communities.

About us

Pittsburgh Cares began as a group of six friends wanting to make volunteering easier in the city of Pittsburgh. Over the years, we have developed into an organization with the goal of making volunteering not only easy, but accessible and fun for people of all ages while helping the nonprofits and causes who don’t necessarily receive the amount of support and volunteers that they so desperately need. We equip and mobilize individuals from all walks of life for volunteer service and civic engagement. While we are physically located in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood, our reach is region-wide - with programming throughout Pittsburgh and Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Our mission is to inspire, equip, and mobilize people to take action to affect positive change in their communities. We strengthen the impact of our regional nonprofit partners by effectively engaging populations including, but not limited to youth, families, businesses, individuals, and seniors. We realize that volunteering can serve as the catalyst for change - in our communities and within ourselves. In a nutshell, we want to be the friends you come to when you want to do good in the neighborhood.
